Welcome To
Aura Accommodation
Aura Accommodation was founded in 2022 by a group of providers that are troubled by the growing number of people that have disabilities and need affordable housing and face economically due to, among other barriers, a lack of safe, affordable housing.
Keeping true to the mission, to provide personalized, selflessness, support through Resources, skill building, knowledge sharing and educational training in order to equip one for self-independence.
Below are 5 ways you can be involved in our community:
Aura Accommodations is redefining affordable, low-income housing.
We’re a nonprofit organization that is working to build a more humane world where communities are healthy, and all people can develop their full potential.
We participate in the development, preservation, management and/or financing of affordable, program-enriched housing in Colorado. Our goal is to acquire and renovate existing housing, as well as develop new affordable rental properties.
Aura Accommodations plan to developed housing by using a combination of private donations and Low Income Housing Tax Credit ( LITC ) funding. Our plan is to raise the private funding that we require for land acquisition, community design and initial operating costs and use the LITC program to fund the initial capital requirements of the design and development of the community.
Over the next year, Aura Accommodation will seek to raise sufficient funds through charitable donations to support the completion of the design of the community, the acquisition of the land and the required planning document submittals for both the local municipality and the federal government.
Concurrently, Aura Accommodations will be completing the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit application for evaluation by the State of Colorado. We will partner with an experienced LITC developer and builder to ensure timely review and completion of the community.
Blue Spruce Community will require ongoing charitable giving and grants to support the minimal level of staffing that we will require
The apartment complex will be available to low-income individuals with IDD. The tenants will pay rent on the low-income scale using Social Security or other sources. Tenants will utilize their Medicaid Disability waivers to support them in their daily living, hiring service providers and utilizing case managers.
